Graduation Speech

Being top of my class, (me BEING the whole class) I had the duty of preparing a speech at my graduation ceremony. So I made a list. And I called it the ABC's of Life. Everything any of us need to know about life we usually learn before we get passed the sixth grade. [: Enjoy!

A. Always be yourself. You are the only 'You' in existance, so enjoy being unique!

B. Be prepared for heartache, it's inevitable.

C. Care about others the way you want them to care about you. An oldie, but goodie. [:

D. Don't take it too hard if the first guy you fall for isn't 'Mr. Right'. He usually isn't.

E. Enjoy where you are at RIGHT NOW! You probably won't have the chance to come back.

F. Feel free to take your hair down sometimes. Loosen up! It makes life a bit easier.

G. Go for it! If you have a big chance at something, take it!

H. Hold on through all of those rainy days. The sun WILL shine again!

I. If everything seems to be going wrong remember, it could always be worse.

J. Joke around every now and then. Laughter keeps things light.

K. Keep your calm. This too shall pass.

L. Love someone. It stays as a reminder that you are not the only person in this world.

M. Make memories. When you are ninety years old, sitting in your favorite rocking chair, you're going to want to be able to tell your grandkids, "When I was your age..."

N. Never be afraid to cry. It doesn't classify you as a kindergarden baby. In-fact, sometimes tears help wash away your pain.

O. Open your eyes and look past all your mistakes. You're living in TODAY, not yesterday.

P. Pray every single day. It's true what they say about prayer you know, it really does change things. [:

Q. Quit complaining. It doesn't change the fact that things are not always going to go your way.

R. Remember who you are. It's easy to get lost in this big world.

S. Stay ambitious! Without goals, what are we to work for?

T. Take time for yourself. Whether you realize it or not, you are important and sometimes you just need a break.

U. Use your head. If it's a bad situation, get out of it as fast as you can.

V. Volunteer somewhere. You never know what may come out of it.

W. Write in a journal. It keeps your thoughts more organized.

X. X-rays don't show it all so take your vitamins. They'll keep you healthy!

Y. You are a beautiful person. From the outside in-don't forget that.

Z. Zeal is a great quality to keep. So in everything you do, do it with zeal.
